Restoring HDU and Dimensional Signs
Older wooden signs and HDU boards often show cracked paint, rot, or faded lettering. So restoring one starts with careful prep. We strip failing coatings, sand the surface down to clean material, and repair any cracks or damage before we repaint. The goal is a sign that looks sharp again, not a patch job.
Restoring Boat Names and Quarterboards
Marine environments are hard on wood and varnish. Sun, salt, and water wear down a quarterboard faster than almost anything on land. So restoring one usually means removing the old varnish, cleaning the bare wood, and re-carving any lettering that time has softened. From there, we finish it with fresh marine-grade varnish to protect it going forward.
Restoring Gold Leaf
Gold leaf can lose its shine as the paint behind it wears away, especially on glass. Restoring it means cleaning the surface, repairing any damage, and laying fresh gold leaf by hand. Then we seal it to help it hold up for years to come.
