We make carved quarterboards in teak and mahogany, finished by hand with 23 karat gold leaf. Gold and silver leaf film are also available in engine turn, Florentine, and burnished finishes. Matching custom life rings and boat names complete the set. For classic wooden boats and yachts, we also restore transoms with traditional gilding by hand. Our shop serves boat owners throughout the Annapolis and Edgewater area, and we ship quarterboards anywhere.
First, we present a portfolio of select fonts to consider. Next, we survey the boat whenever possible. If the boat is not near our shop, we ask the owner for photos and measurements. Finally, we create a scale drawing that shows exactly how the lettering will look when we install it. Our custom Avery vinyl boat names typically last about ten years. Questions?
