Family Boat Names on Andiamo
Good weather and a calm spot made for an excellent installation of these family boat names. As you can see in the first photo, the whole boat sat in the shade that day. That matters, because a hot boat can make an installation tricky. When the transom or hull heats up in the sun, Avery vinyl grabs the surface almost instantly.
On the one hand, heat helps the vinyl bond well. On the other hand, it sticks at the slightest touch, so there is no room to adjust the position. When heat is a concern, we take extra steps to keep the vinyl workable and avoid that sticky situation.
“Andiamo!” is Italian for “Let’s go!” The new white lettering suits the boat’s color scheme well.
Placing Family Boat Names on a Long Hull
This boat stays on the river full-time, so we cleaned the hull carefully before we started. Because the boat is long, finding the right spot for the name took some thought. In the end, we centered it on the console for a balanced look. We also set a reference line to keep the name level, since the bow curves upward before it flattens out again.
Lettering a Small Transom
The hailing port on the transom was the trickiest part of the job. Usually, a port name is simple, since the lettering is smaller and most boats have roomy transoms. Here, though, tight space and fixed hardware around the transom made it much harder. In the end, there was just enough room to position it correctly. We always take our time to make sure your boat name looks great.
