Exterior Painted Lettering in Washington, DC
We created exterior painted lettering on the front and sides of the brick building that houses Fishscale, a restaurant at 637 Florida Ave NW in Washington, DC 20001. Our shop is in Edgewater, Maryland, and we travel to the city regularly for jobs like this one.
First, we transfer the outline of the letters to the wall. Then we paint each letter by hand with Sherwin-Williams exterior paint. Hand painted letters sit right in the texture of the brick, which gives the building a classic neighborhood look.
Why Choose Hand Painted Lettering
If you own a restaurant, shop, or office with a plain brick wall, exterior painted lettering can announce your business from the street. We can letter the front, the sides, or both. In addition, we can pair the lettering with a mural when a wall has room for one.
Painted lettering works especially well on brick, because the paint follows the texture of the wall. We plan the layout around windows, doors, and rooflines, so the letters read clearly from the sidewalk and from across the street. Whether you need a company name, a logo, or a short tagline, hand painted lettering gives your building a distinct look.
