The Artist’s Skills in Sign Making
Before computers, a sign artist did everything by hand. We still honor that tradition. Computers help us plan, but the final work is done with human skill. Three skills matter most in our work:
- Carving. We shape wood by hand, cutting each letter and detail.
- Gilding. We apply real gold leaf by hand for a bright, rich shine.
- Hand lettering. We paint letters with a brush, so each one has a personal touch.
How an Artist Builds an Identity
Every business and every boat has its own story. A sign artist turns that story into something people can see. A carved board, a gilded name, or a hand-lettered logo gives a sign real character. That character helps a boat, a building, or a business stand out. It also makes people remember it.
