Kevin Nick is a master sign maker and an expert sand carver. He has been with Designs & Signs for more than thirty years. At our shop in Edgewater, Maryland, Kevin fabricates all of our sandblasted signs and other dimensional signage, and he leads every on-site sandblasting project.
Sandblasted and Dimensional Signs
Kevin builds the sandblasted signs you see on community entrances, farms, and businesses across Maryland. For example, he built the Holly Hill Harbor entrance sign and our cedar sign for Cardinal Plaza Shell. His attention to detail and his craftsmanship show in every raised letter and textured background.
Carving Letters in Stone
Kevin also cuts letters into stone and concrete on site. He carved stone lettering at the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. In Howard County, he carved fifteen stones for a first responders memorial wall. He also cut large letters into the wall at Ballou High School. Read more on our carved and memorial plaques pages.
